Promoting Free Folk...
All festival staff provide their
time and expertise for free,
in the spirit of promoting folk for all. Your donations enable us to
invite great
performers and keep the festival exciting and vibrant. This year has
seen an increase in fundraising activities, and you will see
plenty of bucket-shaking around the festival, as well as an opportunity
to
purchase a donators badge which will enable you to avoid the
bucket-shakers for just £10! Please do support our advertisers and sponsors as their contributions are invaluable.

Dulverton Folk Festival first took place in July 2007, envisaged and organised by local musician Dave Towers. Dave was unable to be directly involved in 2008 due to other commitments but continues to be the inspiration for the festival and will hopefully be back to guide events in the future.
In 2008, the festival was organised by Sapphire Sound,
who also
provided the public address systems and designed the
2008 festival website.
And, then in 2009, the festival was
organised by members of
the Rusty
Buckets, local ceilidh band.
Bex
Smith (a returned Dulvertonian, and occasional member of the Rusty
Buckets) is behind this year's website, logo
and flier design.
Sally J Maynard also deserves a mention
for her hand drawing of the Dulverton Town Hall Steps which enabled Bex
to create the logo you see above. Sally is an accomplished watercolour
artist who runs watercolour classes from her home just a few short
miles from Dulverton.
2010 - We have a similar organising
committee to last year, and are commited to ensuring that we can keep
the festival free for as long as possible, without compromising on
entertainment value.
